Garrett-Benjamin`s birthstory

Our big boy Garrett was born Tuesday April 8th. I went in Monday morning to be induced. Pitocin was started at 7:00 am. It started slowly and I didn`t start dilating until around 5:00 in the evening. They started talking that I might have to go home and come back the next day. I didn`t want to do that at all. But by 7:00 pm I was dilated a bit and was having very strong contractions 1 to 2 minutes apart. It was time for the epidural. Oh thank heaven for those things. I labored all night long and finally at 5:15 Tuesday morning I was fully dilated and ready to start pushing. I pushed for about 2 and a half hours and our boy was finally here. It was a very smooth delivery and my cheering section of my mom and sister really helped me along. They were cheering like they were at a football game or something. My husband sat by my side the whole time and was awe struck. It was the best day of my life and also the most exhausting.
