I was having contractions off and on for two week. Not to mention I was 4 cm dialated for weeks. Well finally at my 39 week appointment the doctor did a sweep. The next morning I work up with contractions again. They were 4 minutes apart but not very strong. So I started walking, and walking, and walking and around 3:00pm I told my huby to take me to the hospital because I was so done with these contractions. When I got to the hospital I found out I was 6 cm, but the contracts were not getting any stronger. So we walked the hopital more. Then my contractions began to stop coming regular. So they gave me an epi and but me on pitocin. Still no change after hours. The on call doctor came in and offered me a c-section at this point but I told him I wanted to continue if it was safe. So I had to go on oxygen because the baby was showing some distress and he decided to break my water. Well the nurse was trying to put and internal monitor on the baby and I told her that I was all a sudden feeling tons of pain. Then I felt the pressure and urge to push. She checked me again and I was 10 cm and complete. 15 minutes later I was holding my baby. From the time they broke my water until I was holding my boy it was on 45 min. I wish they would have broke my water hours earlier.
