McKinzey-Kay-Lile`s birthstory

Went in for induction at 7pm to the hospital. They were running behind, but started my cervix pill at 9pm. I had been dilated to 1cm for 3 weeks...ugh. I had been having regular contractions since one week prior, but nothing too painful. Those continued. Got checked a couple times, still no progress. Started feeling painful contractions around 11pm. Started thinking about an epidural. Couldn`t sleep very well all night. Checked at 6am, was dilated to 2cm...NO real progress. Epidural came shortly after and the petocin. Shakes kicked in. 9am, doc came in, scared about baby`s heart rate dropping with every contraction. Told me the news of the need for an emergency c-section around 10am and we had a baby within 20 minutes. Went very fast. C-section was very scary, shook the whole time. Overwhelming sensation of pulling and baby being pulled out. About killed the anesthesiologist b/c she gave me so many drugs i almost went all the way under. Didn`t get to watch the surgery, neither did dad, b/c he gets light headed around blood. Kept thinking the whole time about what she would look like. Amazing to hear her cry for the first time. She cried for a good 20 minutes. They said they showed her to me, but i was too shaky and drugged up. They stitched me up, dad took her to the recovery room and i joined them both when i was done. Couldn`t feel anything from my boobs down for about a good 2 hours in recovery. Got to our post-delivery room and the visitors poured in. Very sleep deprived. Sent her to the nursery for the first night for 6 hours to catch up on some sleep. Got to go home after 48 hours, and am now living a dream and loving every minute of my little Kinzey Bean.
