well i finally have some time to myself to write about the greatest day of my life.

this was the one weekend i didn't want to go into labor because my mom was sick with the flu. but kai had other plans! it all started Dec 20 at 3:15am. i woke up having a pretty painful contraction. i thought i needed to go pee since holding my pee usually caused me some pain. so i went and came back to lay down but the pain never went away. i got a really bad contraction that made me get back out of bed so i started walking around the livingroom hoping that they would stop. my mom woke up and came and sat with me for awhile. poor thing was so sick. she told me to go take a shower to see if they would stop. the warm water did feel good! but nothing was making the contractions stop. they were coming 5 to 8 minutes apart without fail. i tried to get some sleep till 7am but that wasn't happening. at 7:30am we decided it was time to go to the hospital. i tried calling Eric but he was not answering his phone. i was pissed! i called his mom and she went to his house to wake him up. in the meantime my mom took me in and they checked me-only a fingertip dialated!!! i was like WTF all these damn contractions and thats it?!?! eric showed up and he sat there with me while they kept me on the monitors. my contractions were constant and strong. they told me i had the option to walk around or go home. me and eric walked for a little bit but the pain was crazy so i decided to come home. they gave me a pill to relax and discharged me around 10:30am. eric stayed here with me for awhile and brought me some wonton soup. i tried taking a bath and man that water does help! then eric had to leave so i laid down on the couch. i was in pain but the pill relaxed my body enough to let me sleep. after it wore off, i would fall asleep and wake up every 5minutes with a contraction. i was so fusterated but i kept trying to breathe through each one. at 4pm my mom called my sister and told her that i was really in labor so if she could come down because she was too sick to take me to the hospital. i took another bath, tried walking, everything but i had NO relief. i was miserable. i couldn't wait so i called eric and told him that we needed to go. my sister got to my house around 8pm and at that point i was at what i thought was my limit. so as soon as she walked through the door i was like lets go now! so i called eric who was barley getting into my neighborhood and told him to follow us. the drive was painful but my sister kept me laughing. we go to the hospital and went upstairs. we walked up to the desk to check in and they told me to start filling out the top of some form. at that point i got another contraction and started to back away from the desk. so my sister started filling the form out for me. like two seconds later i felt a HUGE gush in my pants! i was OMG! i looked around first hoping that nobody saw lol and then i was like um my water just broke! my sister was like no your lying and eric and the nurse were looking on th ground expecting a puddle lol. i was like its in my pants! lol everyone was cracking up! they took me to OB check and sure enough, it was my water. thats when the REAL contractions came! OMG i thought the ones at home were bad but when my water broke that began a whole different level of pain! the took me to my room and i was like where are my drugs?!?!?! i was in so much pain! then to top it off the nurses were asking me stupid questions like "do you want your baby's picture taken tomorrow?" i was like ok now is not the time! lol so then the nurses were trying to put an IV in. i was poked so many times and they could not get a vein! i had like 8 bandaides each arm! finally the anestesiologist came in and he found a vein right away but he was such a cocky asshole! ugh. so they sit me up for the epidural and i get another contraction so i said wait, let this contraction pass. he was like OMG really?! i was like yeah! really!! ass. so then he orders the nurses to give me 50mg of some pain medication and the nurses were like 50?! and he was like yeah she needs to calm down. so they give it to me and tell me your going to feel dizy. then he put the epidural in. i didn't feel it at all. i was like damn your done? so i lay down and after 2 contractions all the drugs hit me and i was HIGH!!!! then shit went all bad. i started throwing up and feeling really sick. the epidural worked but i could feel all the pressure from the baby's head in my vagina. then it felt like i had to take the biggest crap of my life. so im totally out of it then the nurses start freaking out! they start turning me from side to side and i had everyone and their momma in that room. so much is happening around me and im like what is happening?! i look at eric and he's looking scared. he's telling me to calm down, my sisters telling me, my mom came out of no where and is telling me and im like im calm. i don't know what happening! you guys are the ones freaking out. so i look at my mom and ask her if im going to have a csection(my mom is a L&D RN and i was at her job so she knew all the ppl and what was happening) she says maybe. then i see my Dr. come in and she has her scrubs on and the next thing i know im being wheeled out to the OR. in the OR they prep me and strap me to the table. the asshole anestesiologist came in and gave me something else that was supposed to completely numb me. but i kept saying im not numb, i can feel all that and im still moving my legs! they were like yeah ok. so then eric comes in and sits next to me and they were like ok here we go. i was like no i can still feel! and the asshole was like no you can't. so they cut and i have never felt a pain like that in my life! i yelled at them I CAN FEEL THAT! and the asshole has the nerve to tell me if you could feel that you'd be jumping off the table. then i try to take the pain until they start burning something and that was a pain i couldnt take so i screamed! and then they noticed that my feet where still moving so they were like shit and rushed eric out...finish the rest later

so yeah. they rushed eric out and put me under general anestesia. Kai was born at 11:57pm December 20, 2009. i woke up in the recovery room and looked at my stomach and it all hit me at once. i started asking where was my son and if he was ok. the nurse said he was fine and they were going to bring him to me but that wasn't good enough. i wanted him ASAP! let me tell you, i was upset. then i started feeling pain at the incision site so i told the nurse and the asshole anestesiologist comes in and has the nerve to say no you don't. at that point i told him to stay away from me. lol. then eric came in with his eyes all puffy and comes over and kisses me and says baby he's perfect and thanks me. cute huh? i know but the entire time im staring at the clock like when are they bringing him? he's been born for 30 minutes and i still havent seen him! they finally brought him in and i couldn't keep my eyes off him! they put him on me and he just stared into my eyes and thats when he stole my heart. i was in tears! i started nursing him and we just stared at each other. all i kept saying to myself was how perfect he was. it was a true moment of bliss. then they took him for a bath and took me to my room. my family and his family was in there and it was great. they brought kai in after his bath and we've been inseperable ever since! turns out the reason i wasn't dialating was because the baby had his cord around his neck and under his arm so he couldn't desend properly and he wasn't tolerating labor at all. i guess it was a good thing i said to go to the hospital when i did and that they ordered a csection on time. things could've gone really wrong and he might not have been here safe and healthy. i thank God he is and everything happened the way they did. he is such a good baby and he looks just like his mommy! i love this boy. he completes me and my little family. me and eric are the proudest parents ever!

giving birth was rough. but well worth it! i'd do it all again for this baby boy!<3
