Trinity-Midonica-`s birthstory

Well, I had been having strong contractions for about a week, Went to my doctors appt. and he said i was not dialated and was very thick on Thursday. I was shocked that i hadn`t dialated at all. Sunday, when i woke up i was doing fine, later that evening we decided to go for a long walk up the road. After the walk, I started to have mild contractions and that was about 7:00-7:30 p.m.. I ate then about 10:30 p.m. my husband and I started to have sex to help rippen my cervix lol:) okay after that TWO minute party lol :) I started having contractions harder.. about 11:00 p.m. my daughter and I started to walk up the road which is like up hill and very hard to walk without power..

I started having contractions every 2-3 minutes for over 2 hours they weren`t very painful that`s why I didn`t go to the hospital right away. I thought this can`t be real because they don`t hurt enough. I stayed at home until 5:00 a.m. still in the same pattern not very painful all under 5minutes apart for hours..

I finally told my husband lets just go and see if I`m dialated any, but my husband didn`t want to because he thought i was putting on and it was just BH contractions,claimed that HIS back was hurting and HE was wanting to go back to sleep. I looked at him like he was crazy and he got his ASS up real quick lol:)

We got there around 6:00a.m. the Dr. checked me and said I was 3-4 centimeters and still very thick. They monitored me for an hour.. I was still having contractions every 2-3 minutes but my cervix was not changing.. they told me to walk for an hour .. So me and my daughter went wlking around the hospital while my husband and my little boy stayed in the room and slept.. After that, the contractions got more intence, but still no change.. They didn`t want to keep me until I showed some change. So my daugher and I walked,walked, walked and finally around 11:00a.m. after being checked,checked and checked I started to bleed some so they really didn`t want to send me home having contractions every 2-3 minutes and bleeding..

I finally made 4 whole centimeters and they said they were going to keep me.. I must say the checking cervix hurt worst than the contractions. They broke my water at about 2:00p.m. the contractions got really intense I still have had no meds at all..then finally they gave me the laughing meds it made me fell alot better.. I still had no change in cervix after all this time..

About 7:00 I asked for an epideral I couldn`t take it any more. They checked me before the epi. I was still at 4 centimeters.. as soon as I got the epi. the pain didn`t stop .I told them It wasn`t working they said it takes 15-20 minutes to work. I said `no it`s not working`.. The doctor checked me again and said the reason it`s not working is because you are fully dialated and ready to push.

My husband had left to get some food because they told him it would be a long night. He just made it out the parking lot before we called and told him to rush back.. he barley made it in the room and I was starting to push. I went from 4 centimeters to fully in 15 minutes the same thing happen with my 8 year old son.. I had her with three pushes at 8:15 p.m. monday night. She`s a doll..We are in love with her !! xoxox

P.S. If your doctor tells you your cervix is very thick that doesn`t mean anything your cervix can change at any minute like mine did with my last two kids. They didn`t want to help my labor along because I was only 36 weeks pregnant and they can`t help you out unless you are 39 weeks, that`s why they made me wait so long before admitting me.. Once you are 4 centimeters they can help by giving pitocin to speed things up . Thanks to everyone for reading this long birthstory.
