Caleb-Cole`s birthstory

Was due Feb. 2nd or..OR 24th Jan. going from my ht/wt ultrasound however, I knew exactly when and Feb. 2nd was the right date of due full term. Which I was full term however. I started loosing my mucus plug thru the duration of 2 weeks. Every doc. appt. I was a cm dialated and 5% more eff. So... my last appt. .which so happened to be on the 24th of Jan. Thur- (my computer generated due date) and I asked if they would strip my cervix. They did. So, I ended up having some light bleeding that day and a little cramping but nothing became of it. I have not had any contractions at all except a little cramping here and there. So I waited all weekend long and nothing :( They told me if Monday came I could call to make an appt. if I wanted to be induced. SO.. Monday came and no baby, and no contractions. So I called my doctors office Monday and instead of making an appt. for induction I made an appt. to get stripped again. And well, again I lost a lot more of my mucus plug as well this time. Like I said I had been slowly loosing my plug, and the stripping helped loose more. This was Mon. and then Wed. night I started having contractions. They were 5 mins. apart but only lasted 1/2 hr. :( Boo hoo I thought. So, then I ended up going to sleep. Thur. I walked and walked. I was 4 cm. at my appt. on Monday with 85% eff. and here it is Thur. night and contractions again. This time I thought not too much of it but I began to write them down and they were all 5 mins. or less for an hr. and this began at 1:30 am -2:30am. That is when I woke my husband (thank God his parents just got in that nght at mindnight to stay with us & we didnt have to wake our 3 yr. old daughter) SO.. we were off to the hosp. and we got there at 3am and they did not admit me, but they hooked me up and monitored me. That is where I cont. to go thru contractions till they admited me when I got to 5cm on my own. ANd OH MY, my contrations were getting quite intense and I just wanted drugs! lol

Once they monitored me and saw I was in `true labor` that is when I could get some pain relief. Thank GOD! This was about 8am when I got to 5cm on my own. Then, they gave me pitocium (sp??), and I got my epiderial. Not a great exp. however it was so quick and then it was heaven! At 11:30am I was at 10cm and it was time to push. I did & then after 5 pushes he was out and here! It was so perfect. No pain at all :) He was 7.9 oz & 20 1/2 oz long. Pefect! No tears or anything. :) And that is the whole story !!
