Griffin`s birthstory

So after a round of contractions on the 18th that lasted all night then stopped I started having what felt like round ligament pains on the evening of the 19th. The pain got much worse on Monday and overnight into tuesday it would bring me to tears when I had to start moving after laying down for a while or sitting too long. So on tuesday morning I decided I couldn`t take it and called the doctor, they of course had me come in. The funny thing is I started having contractions while I was there so she hooked me up to the monitors and I was having them every 5 min. It turns out I was 1cm and 60% effaced, well they kept me and after several hours I still had no change in my cervix but was still contracting. So rather then send me home and have me end up back there later in the night my doctor decided to go ahead with a c-section since it was going to be my 3rd c-section I don`t think he really wanted labor to progress to much further. So they took me in and at 5:27 he was born, he screamed until the minute they brought him to my head and I started talking to him :) He is incredibly sweet and looks like his brothers. I have a double uterus so it looked like he was running out of room, they had to use the vaccuum a little to get him out so he had a little bruise on his head :( The doctor said he saw the beginnings of a placental abruption so we were very glad he decided to start making his way out. He never had to go to the NICU, he is nursing and doing very well, we were able to come home together after less than 72 hours which was my shortest stay after giving birth. We are cherishing every moment as this is our last baby and we know how fast it goes by. I can`t stop smelling him and kissing him, I`m am just so in love with my Griffin!
