Samuel-Dean`s birthstory
well, I will start with the week before...I was horribly sick with the flu the whole week before. Just when I was starting to feel a little bit better ALL the rest of my family got sick and instead of resting to get my strengh back I was up all night taking care of sick kids. My husband did most of the work untill he got it too. The day before I went into labor I had called my mom and asked he to go grocerie shopping with me. I still had no strength what so ever. The whole time we were shopping my mom kept telling me she really had a feeling the baby was going to come any minute. I figured it was just her making me feel better. Well Sunday night I was more exhausted both physicly and mentally than I have been in my life. I kept thinking something just felt different. All night I kept waking up thinking `am I going into labor` When my husband left for work I figured it was just wishful thinking, Well At 7 I woke up to get the kids up and ready for school and as I rolled over I felt a gush. I thought maybe it was my water but figured it was probably just a very full bladder. when I got up I gushed and gushed . I called my husband who went into panick mode. I then called the hospital who said at 36 weeks I needed to get in right away. After an hour of trying to shuffel 4 kids, my neighbor took me to the hospital to meet my husband. They put me in a triage room and confirmed that my water broke and started me on antibiotics for Group B strp. After an entire pregnancy of contractions I was not having any! We waited untill about 4:00 monday afternoon and walked and bounced on the birth ball and then decided oxytocine would be best. I made it untill about 6 that evening and was in tears from exhaustion even though the contractions weren`t bad at all, I was just to tired to cope with them so I got an epidural at barley 3cm. 9 hours later my dr. came in and I was complete and ready to push. I pushed 3 times in 5 min and out popped my sweet little Sam. He is perfect and healthy and his brother and 3 sisters all adore him.
