Taliyah-Kimora`s birthstory
We had to be at the hospital at 6:00am. I got up that morning, made sure we had all the bags and the house was locked. Once we got to the hospital we checked in and they began prepping me for surgery (i.v, baby monitoring, blood work, paper work, etc).
At 8:00 am the nurses came and got me from triage and took me into surgery, where the Doctor, Doctor Assistants, and Anastegologist were waiting. I received my spinal at 8:02am.
By 8:17am, I was not completely numb, so they tried turning and tilting me so that the fluid can flow throughout my body, I was told that if it didnt work that they would have to put me to sleep.
At 8:20am, they did the pinch test, in which case, I didnt feel it, but I still knew they where touching me and I didnt think I was completely numb. They waited a couple more minutes and began the surgery at approx 8:27am. When they started the surgery and everything was going fine, until they started to stretch the incision open. OMG I felt everything, it was so painful, I was screaming and yelling, telling them to stop and please put me to sleep, all they kept saying was breath, breath, evening my husband, I was telling them you dont understand, I feel everything, please stop, they stopped stretching me and the Anesthesiologist was getting the meds together to put me to sleep, while he was getting prepared, they continued to work, and after a minute or so, they said push, push and they was pushing on my stomach and then she was out at 8:38 am.
I remember hearing her crying and them doing something else, and then I was out. My husband said that as soon as she came out the Anesthesiologist, gave me about 6 drugs....When I finally woke up or was coherent, I was in recovery, and I still couldn`t see my baby, because my vision was blur. When I woke up again, I was in my room. All the nurses that came in, was so apologetic. They kept saying that they heard what happen, and the doctors felt so bad for me. I have to say this was the worst pain ever, my other section went fine and I healed just fine afterwards. This time around was much more painful and its taking a longer time to feel just a little better.
I gained 42 pounds throughout my pregnancy, I was huge, so we thought that our daughter was at least 7lbs 10oz....lol....It was a surprise when they said 6lbs 7oz..
