Gabriela-Marina`s birthstory
Around 11am Wednesday I started feeling like my bladder was leaking like it did throughout my pregnancy. Every 2 hours I would get a small gush but couldnt tell if it was bladder or amniotic fluid. Thursday at 3am I decided to call dr and ended up going to hospital around 330 to check. It was my water that broke. Around 7am was my first pill to get my cervix softened since it was completely closed and still high up and long. They inserted the 2nd one around 11am and decided that was the last one since my baby`s heartrate wasnt doing well with it. They decided to stop and give me pitocin. I ended up with pitocid around 3pm and they gradually increased it until 630pm when they checked me and I was only dilated to 1 cm and cervix still long and high and hard. Contractions werent bad with pitocin and gradually increased. I had to squeeze my husbands hand but was still able to speak through them. they decided to stop and give me and baby a break and had me eat dinner and rest until morning. when i got to room around 7pm I ate and the pain started getting worse. they flushed the pitocin out of my body with saline through iv but pain was increasing and i got no sleep that whole night with contractions between 2 and 5 minutes lasting 45-60 seconds each. By 3am I considered the pain an 8 out of 10 and they checked my cervix. It was still high up and hard but I was 3 cm dilated. they brought me down to get epidural around 5. At 630 I got epidural and by 700 they asked how pain was and I said no pain but pressure in my butt hole. They checked and I was 10cm dilated and ready to push. I had my baby at 805 am and Gabriela Marina was 6lbs. 12oz and 20 inches long. I love her so much and every minute of the pain was worth it.
