Ok..as most of you know..i had been 6cm dilated since Dec. 17th!! I was on complete bed rest & was getting REALLY restless!! My doctor decided that he was going to induce me so on January 9, 2009 i went to the hospital @ 6:30 AM. i got there early and registered and immediately went straight up to the delivery room. They started an IV in me & next thing I know my doctor walks through the door & says "ready for me to break your water?" i was thinking "umm..NO! i JUST got here are you kidding?!" haha, but he proceeded. Right after that the started the pitocin drip..which immediately started some SERIOUS contractions. I decided i needed the epideral after 2 of them!! haha! (i dont take pain well, plus i was SO worried i was going to be too far along to get it since i was already dilated to a 6) oh the doctor informed me that my spine is crooked as he put the epideral in & told me to go see a neurosurgeon (you know after everything settles down & all haha) so the epideral was in & now i was just waiting..an hour passed & i had dilated to an 8..i kept telling the nurse i was feeling contractions & finally she checked my epideral it had come OUT of my back!!! luckily we got it back in but i kept telling them "you better be glad you checked or i would be having a law suit haha" i was just a little loopy. well by 10AM i was complete!! i was SO scared..i could not believe how fast it was coming..plus i was a little bummed because colby couldnt leave his rehab until 12 (& it was an hr & a half away so i knew he wouldnt make it in time) everyone left the room, but my mom, my aunt, & my best friend, heather! my mom & my aunt held my legs & my best friend heather held my head every time i pushed! i was feeling really sick & dizzy from all the medicine so in between pushing i was throwing up..oh it was so lovely =) haha. after about an hour & 15 mins of pushing they called the doctor in & i knew it was all about to be over & braxy was about to be in my arms..sure enough..my little booger arrived at 11:33 AM. my aunt cut the cord since colby hadn't made it yet..as soon as he came out they put him right on my chest. i was balling uncontrollably i could NOT believe he was finally here! i could not believe how beautiful he was..they took him across the room to clean him up & i followed him with my eyes..i did not stop looking at him the whole time..the doctor was telling me he was getting the afterbirth out & giving me stitches (i tore..but only a 1 degree tear) & i was just like uh huh..ok..i didnt care at all..i just kept looking at my beautiful baby boy. colby got there around 1 & i cant explain to you how much we both love him. he stayed at the hospital with me the entire time .. he didnt leave ONCE & he even slept with me in that terrible hospital bed..haha..everything in my life is just PERFECT right now..i wanted to thank you all once again =)
