Mia-rose-Neave`s birthstory

I went to hospital at around 11am to be induced had to wait around for ages before they gave me a pessary at about 1 ish to try and soften and shorten my cervix as i was only 1cm dilated, we were told to go for a walk around hospital and go have lunch, so we finally went back to ward and around 5.30 i was sitting on hospital bed when suddenly i heard and felt this pop and could feel a sudden gush of fluids so realised my waters had broken!!!! I then was checked and was only 2cm dilated went and had a bath and luke used shower head on my back,i stayed at 2cms until 10pm they then transfered me to delivery suite and checked me i was 3cms and the contractions i must say were sooooooo painful but i didnt once scream, i then asked for pethidine to calm the contractions down, which just took the edge off and then kept on the gas and air!I was checked again at 1 am 03/06/2008 and was told i was 10cms and ready to push, by then the pethidine had worn off and was told i wasnt allowed any gas and air so i pushed for 2 hours with nothing, i was having trouble pushing her head out so i had to be cut and the suction had to be used as her heart rate had dropped slightly after a 3 BIG pushes she came out, luke cut the cord and she was placed on my chest, i had stitches so feeling really sore but its an amazing feeling and i will never forget it!
