Thomas-Harvey`s birthstory

I went in to the hospital on Monday 3rd March to be induced and was started by vaginal tablet monday afternoon. I was given a second dose later that evening. I thought I had gone into labour as I was having painful contractions but infact it was just a reaction to the tablets. I was given a sedative and went to sleep. Teusday morninig I was examind and was found to be dialated enough to have my waters broken, This was a very painful procedure but it did not start labour, I did have some mild contractions but not enough to be in established labour. Later that afternoon I was put on a drip for my insulin and also to be induced with stronger chemicals. The Labour then progressed quite nicely or so I thought; I was having very strong painful contractions and when i felt like I needed to push i was examined to see how far dialated I was only to be told that I was only two cm dialiated. The baby was in a very difficult position to be born and I was told that I had to have an emergency C-section. This was very frightening but with in half an hour Thomas was born. We are home now and I am so in love with my little boy.
