Alana-Raine`s birthstory

after 30 hours of labor i finally had a C section to bring Alana Raine into the world. We were on our way to the hospital so i could get a cervical ripening, and then go over to the hotel and then go back in thursday for the real induction. WELLLLLLL she had other plans lol. 20 minutes away from the hospital i started getting REALLY bad contractions, and my back was hurting sooo bad even inbetween contractions. So i got in there and they gave me morphine because my back was soooo bad. The doctors came in and told me they were going to give me pitocin. So they hoooked me up to that and my contractions were 2 1/2 minutes apart. They ended up giving me the epi around 9pm. Which worked wonders..until the next day... I ended up getting windows of where i could feel all the pain. So the doctors came in and gave me a huge dose of whatever is in the epi. Well THEN i ended up with a fever of 103.5 so they packed me and my bed with ice to bring it down. The doctors came in after 28 hours of labor and they told me that they were thinking of doing a Csection. I had dilated to 6cm and i was stuck there for about 9 hours of the labor...They said that her head was tipped and my pelvic bones werent letting her through. So two hours later they decided to go ahead with the C section.
I got in there and they numbed me and made sure that i couldnt feel anything, i felt very tired and dont really remember even seeing her..they started cutting...and they got her out...but then i had a panic attack and they had to knock me out. When i woke up they were stitching me...and i felt ALL of that..i was SCREAMING! and apparently there was a layer of my skin that became UNnumb...(i talked to the doctor afterwards)
So i got back to my room and bc there was a mix up in the OR they didnt have my meds ready when i got out...so i was in TONS of pain for an hour and a half until they got me on morphine. that didnt work, so then on TOP of that they gave me three shots of Dollated(sp?). So i was DRUGED! OMG!
So CRAZY labor story lol. I spent 4 days in the hospital after i had her to keep my fever down and my pain level controlled.
It was a mess, but absolutly worth it.
(btw, my water broke on its own in the hospital bed...weirdest feeling EVER)

After all of that, i just want to say that i now believe in `love at first sight`. I cried and cried and cried when i held her in my arms. I have NEVER felt a love so strong. When people say `its all worth it` they arent kidding.
