Benjamin-Raymond-Bruner`s birthstory
I was supposed to have a scheduled c-section Dec. 31 at 1 in the afternoon. Hubby and I were out to dinner Dec. 30 for our 1 year anniversary when I started having contractions. I was kind of in denial because we were going in the next day so I couldn`t be in labor now! But they continued to come every 5 minutes and were increasing in intensity so we finished dinner and then called the dr.
We got to the hospital and they started fluids hoping to stop the contractions so we could keep our scheduled time but I was progressing so they said we were having our baby now! 45 minutes later we were starting the c-section and 5 minutes after they started I heard my little guy screaming!! It was the best sound. His apgars were 8 and 9 so dad was able to hold him by me while they finished sewing me up.

Alyson-Lynn`s birthstory
I had contractions since my due date the 5th. Went to Dr. on Monday, 8th and got reassurance that everything was ok and she would eventually come! Monday evening around 6pm I started having my contractions again, every 15-20 minutes. Big deal I thought, just false labor again! NOPE! By 8 pm they moved to every 5 minutes apart, and were much stronger. I called the hospital at 9:30 and they said to come on in. By 11pm the contractions were every 2-3 minutes and wrapped around my entire back just burning it. It was near unbearable! I finally got an epidural at 2:40 in the morning which was amazing! I was the most comfortable I had been in weeks! NO pain whatsoever. I could still feel my legs and when I was having a contraction which was good. So daytime came and I was still only dialated 3 cm. Dr. broke my water around 10ish to get things going. Nothing changed so they started some Pitocin. Well, I got to 5 cm around noon and then stayed there. They upped the Pitocin, nothing changed. Baby`s heartbeat was dropping with alot of the contractions so I kept getting repositioned. It helped a little. 3pm, still 5cm and baby heartbeat getting a little lower w/ contractions. So I was put on oxygen and an internal monitor. I also had a foley to make sure my bladder stayed empty so baby had as much room as possible to drop. I thought for sure we were heading to a C-section! The nurse came back in around 5 and checked me. Suddenly I was a full 10...ready to push! I freaked out a little...very nervous! We did a few practice pushes and the baby dropped very quickly. We thought she`d be out in a few minutes. Well her head got stuck right behind/under my pelvic bone. OH MY GOSH. There was constant pressure there and burning. I pushed w/ her in that position for about an hour. At the end I was crying, trying to focus on breathing, could barely push it hurt so bad but finally pushed her past that point and she just slid on out. Wow, it was amazing watching that little body come out! I have a 1st degree tear and only 2 stitches!! Pretty sore but I got my VBAC!!
