CHRISTOPHER-HICKS`s birthstory

I woke up at 5am this morning with contractions that were 2-3 minutes apart,I was in so much pain so I decided to take a hot shower to see if the pain would ease up.When I got out the shower it was 6am an my contractions spreaded out to 4-5mins apart..At 6:40 I called my doctor`s office an excuse my language but the b***H said don`t go to the hospital wait until 8:30 and meet me at my office.By that time I was crawling around on my floor trying to get my 4yr old dressed 4 school.By the time I got done it was 8:15 an I was on my way to the doctor..then I finally made it,my contractions started back to be 2-3mins apart..My doctor then checked me an I was 4cm dialated..So she sent me to L&D and had already called for my epidural before I made it to the hospital..When I got to my labor room it was 9:30,so I changed into my gown,got hooked up to the moniters,then got a bag of fluids to keep me hydrated.The doctor came in an gave me my epi,it went so quick an was so painless to me!!So in an instant I got cold the epi gave me the shakes..so I had about 5 blankets on me lol..I was feeling good so they let me rest..The nxt time they checked me was at 1:30 and I was 7cm dialated..an I was told that if my water didn`t break they would wait an let my doc do it..I was checked again at 3:30 an I was complete WOO HOO!! And my water had broken on its on!!The nurses called my doctor at her office to inform her an she came immediatly to L&D..an she checked me again.The nurses broke the bed down to start the pushing process..so my bf an the nurses coached me in the pushing process,I did 5 sets of pushing an my baby boy was out!He was born at 4:22pm I was so relived he weighs 6pds 3oz an he is so beautiful..my bf was scared to cut the cord because he was nervous!I`m in my room now an we are doing great..it took a long time for the epi to wear off..its 11:50pm an he just came to my room he was having a problem with his temp so he has to be double wrapped an has to wear two hats..Hope you enjoyed my birth story!
