Well, we had a scheduled induction on Thursday, August 28th at 7am. We went on and pretty much sat around for about an hour and a half. I then got changes, the doctor came and checked me...still only 2-3 cm but almost 100% effaced. They started pitocin, but only on a very low dose. The contractions were not that bad, but they came and gave me Nubain to help me out until the pain was bad enough to get an epidural. The doctor came about 30 minutes later and broke my water and soon after taht the contractions got pretty bad. I wanted that epidural STAT!!! That doctor was in a emergency CSection, but he came in shortly afterwards and administered the epidural. My husband was great and my mother had come and brought me a mirror because i really wanted to try and watch the birth as well. She decided to stay...I couldn't believe it because she had watche my first be born and was still traumatized! We had ane xceptional nurse how was quite funny and had actually been the nurse who helped deliver my first. I was feeling pressure in my bottoma nd kept saying that I was for about 40 minutes. My husband was like you shouldn;t be feeling anything, and I said that I think I am ready to push! The nurse checked me and said, "Son of a gun, your ready!" This was only 20 minutes after the epidural! The doctor rushed upstairs and 5 pushes later, there she was! I am so in love!
