CAMRYN-MONAE-`s birthstory

On Saturday around 4pm I sent DH to Walgreens to get me some castor oil i took the oil and had a bowel movement but no contractions so i was like whatever. I kicked it for the rest of the day with my kids watching movies. At 11pm I went to bed. I kept having to use the bathroom but still no labor. Around 1 a.m. I started having contractions they were mild so i just walked around my living room for an hour then at 2 am i told DH i was in labor and he woke up looked at me and said for real and went back to sleep, by that time the contractions got harder and harder so i went into my kids rooms and told then to get dressed we going to the hospital my son went into my room(LOL) and told my hubby in a loud voice dad wake up man mom is having a baby we gotta go so me and the kids are dressed and waiting on DH I sat on the edge of my bed to slip on my house shoes and i felt a pop i stood up and my water came gushing out really fast so i went into the restroom and changed and we left for the hospital...


I got to the hospital and DH let me out and i checked myself in and got my room and now my contractions were unbearable and i asked for an epi but, i never got a chance to get one ladies or any meds for that matter cause i was in the hospital acting a plum fool i told my nurses don't touch me and don't talk to me (lil did i know DH went back home cause my kids were not allowed on the l&d unit) the pain was so bad that i couldn't be still and the nurse couldn't find Camryn heart beat so this went on for like 2 hours me going off on the nurses and then the contractions got even more intense and i told the nurse i had to push and she told me not to and i said well i gotta push and i gotta shit i kept repeating that and so the nurse was like let me check you and i said no cause every time i had a bad contraction she wanted to touch me and she mad it worse so she checked me anyway and i was 9cm ( i was 4 went i got there) i kept yelling at my nurses and telling then i have to push and that I felt her head and they kept telling me if i push before i was 10cm i was going to tear my cervix i just rolled my eyes at them, i was in so much pain that they had to got and get an on-call doc and two resident doctors ( i was cutting up ladies) so my nurse was like let me check you again so she went to put her hand up in me and i grabbed her and was like no get my doctor i gotta push why ya'll playing with me. So, she checked me and then my doc finally came in and was taking his sweet time movin like a turtle. He asked me did i get any meds i said no so he did something i aint never heard of he stuck a syringe on bothe sides of my v jay jay and numbed me down there and the poked me with a needle to see if i was numb he then checked me and said that Camryn's head was right there and to push when i have a contraction, i took three good pushes and she was out I was soooooooo happy and i couldnt wait to hold her.


It took another 20 minutes to get my placenta out it would not seperate right away.
