not much to tell really , it was the easiest birth in the world, the midwife was going to give me pessarys to induce, but when she examined me i was already soft, and 3cm dilated, so a dr came and said he would break my waters, the only nuisance was i was monitored up to everyting with lots of drips, for glucose, insulin etc... because of the diabetes, the midwife was fantastic, she brought the anethethist straight in and he did my epidural immediatley, so i felt no contractions whatsoever, my dh and my mum and i had a lovely night chatting, and watching tv. then around 4am, the midwife said do you feel like pushing , i was like no not really, but i gave one push and she was like oh my god her head has popped out, push again, so i did, and the rest of her slid out, im sorry for bragging,lol, because i have had a couple of quite traumatic births in the past but this girl, just literally popped out. no stitches, or anything, i was shocked she was so small, as they induced at 38weeks because they thought she was so big with the diabetes, her sugar levels were a bit erratic for a day or so, but now she is fine, im very blessed. nicola.x
