`s birthstory

My waters broke at 7:30am, 1st September 2008. Contractions were 15 mins apart. Then went to hospital and got checked out but got told to go back home till I couldnt stand the pain anymore. About an hour later, I went back to hospital and started on the gas. Then I decided to have a bath to try and ease the pain but it wasnt working so I gave in and asked to have the epidural. That was so hard and it hurt a little bit. But it was successful and the pain disappeared, and then about 2 hrs later, my midwife checked and i was fully dilated, so she had to reduce the epidural so i knew when to push. Then about half an hour later, I started to feel the contractions and had to start to push. He was facing the wrong way so his head was too swollen to come out. So they had to get the vacuum pump but that wasnt successful so they used the forceps and had to cut me. Thank god I could use the gas. Finally he was born and then they had to stitch me up. 4 layers of stitching later, it was all over .
