Vincent`s birthstory

Went in Monday to start my induction. Was scheduled to come in at 5 pm, but they were busy and running out of beds, so went in about 6ish and had cervadil inserted to help thin my cervix. My cervix was too thick and not dilating properly. After several hours and several checks of my cervix, I had only dilated to 4 and my cervix was just starting to get mushy. My water broke on it`s own about 11:20 am on Tuesday and I was given pitocin to help my labor. I was still not dilating and the baby`s heart rate showed signs of fetal distress. About 4ish pm they decided that the baby would probably NOT tolerate vaginal labor. Had an emergency c-section. They got him out quickly, but he was grey and floppy... but quickly they got him breathing and he pinked up. Ended up getting a 9 on the Apgar scale! He was healthy, breathing on his own and is now a perfect little boy. :) We are still trying to learn how to breastfeed properly, but overall, things are great. I am extremely sore from my c-section, and was really upset that I didn`t get to deliver vaginally, but it was worth it to ensure he was healthy and got here safe.
