Yannis-(John)-Peter`s birthstory

Well contractions started last Tuesday the 12th of Aug. after I had my membranes swept at my Dr`s. office. Not much to really talk about at first, but by 2:30 the next morning I was feeling some serious cramps/contractions and had a pretty good backache. Contractions were half and hour apart until 4:00am when they started to really speed up. We left for the hospital at 6:00am and were in Triage for a few hours. I was moved into a delivery room at around 9:30 am and the contractions started to really kick into high gear. Very painful!!! Not the same as the back labour I had with my first son....this was sharp and deep pain, but at least there was relief between contractions. THEN they really got painful, sharp and close together. My nurses started prepping the room for the baby to arrive (it seemed too soon to me) but I guess they knew better!! By noon the pain was over the top....and by 1:00pm my best friend arrived in the delivery room and stood beside my hubby. What a room to walk into at that time! I was moaning and crying by that point ( no epidural) . The doctor arrived and in 4 pushes he was out. They had to break my water earlier and there was meconium in the fluid so they called a code `green` for the team to come in to the delivery room in case he had meconium in his lungs. He didn`t forunately, and he arrived healthy and with clear lungs. 7lbs, 3 oz. We couldn`t be happier!!!
