Veronica-Paige`s birthstory

Right before I went to sleep on May 4th around 10pm I started to feel alittle crampy, I just ignored it cause I figured that it was just normal cramps. (I had been feeling crampy for a couple of days off and on) I woke up again at 4:15 and noticed that they were a little stronger and they kept going off and on. I figured that I would time it just because I was bored and I was supposed to get up at 5:30 and be induced at 7:00 that day. I noticed that they were 3 - 4 mins apart and I thought that it was odd that they were so close and I didn't think anything of it. I ended up getting out of bed at 5:30 to take a shower, went to the bathroom first and I noticed that there was blood (bloody show I guess) and I was so happy cause then I could say I went natural instead of being induced. Well, a few mins later my hubby came in to use the bathroom and I told him, and then he told me that the hospital had called to say they were canceling the induction cause they had a busy night last night and they were going to call me back. Well, I waited for them to call me for 2 hours and they still didn't call and my contractions had started to become more uncomfy, so I called them. They told me to come in. At this time my contractions were still only 3 mins apart they never really changed in time just intestesty. I got there and they checked me and I was only 2 cm. I was kinda mad a myself cause I wanted to be further. They ended up giving me a proticn drip at 10:30, and then my contrations picked up. Got my epi hooked up (no meds yet just the cath) around 2 and my contractions still were that bad. Got checked again and I still only at 2 1/2 cm. I was thinking that this was going to be a long labor. Around 3:30 I think the contractions became unbearable to me, they were 2 mins apart and 50 secs long at that time, I ended up being 3 cm but I was fully dialted and I could get my epi until 4. So the nurse kept checking me every 15 mins to see how I was doing and I ended up going fast to 4 cm around 4:00. Gave me medication (I could wait for them to kick in and it felt like forever for them to kick in) Slow after about 4 or 5 more contractions the med started to get me calm. I was able to take a nap, which was nice, however the next time I got check around 6:00 I was 6cm, 15 mins later I was 8, called my hubby (he was outside talking to people) and they told the meds off. By the time he came in I was fully dialted. Nurses waited for me to start to feel for the feel for pushing and I pused for 1 1/2 hrs and she was born. I didn't ended getting stiches or tearing which I am very greatful. But it was funny, the first time I looked at her she was giving a dirty look to me and to everyone else that night, my family said she got it from me, but I really know she got it from her dad.
