Callie-Rachel`s birthstory

On tuesday morning around 8 I started having contractions that hurt a little, but not too badly. They continued all day and by that night they were more regular and more painfuul. By 1 am they were 7 minutes apart. By early wednesday morning they were 5 minutes apart and hurt a lot. Around 7am my contractions were 3-5 minutes apart so I called the midwives and made an appointment to go there at 9 to be checked out. On my way out to the car shortly before 9 my water broke. I called my sister and brother and told them to start driving back from NJ. I was really late to the appointment and was already almost 5 cm, so they sent me across the street to the hospital. I got in the birthing tub for about 20 minutes until the contractions were really bad and I was totally ready for my pain meds. I got an intrathecal/epidural combo shortly after 11 am, which was amazing! By 1 pm I was fully dilated, but waited another hour or so to start pushing so the baby could work her way down a little on her own. I didnt have any pain until the last 20 minutes or so of the labor. My sister, brother and nephew showed up a little after 3. Both grandmothers, my best friend, and of course Yeorgo were all there too. Callie Rachel finally made her debut at 3:58 pm! A beautiful girl 8 lbs 10 oz and 21 1/2` long. She has blue eyes, light hair and the cutest button nose :)
