On Wednesday June 4 I was still trying to get the house in order, I also did a heavy duty car cleaning I was cramping a little but it was tolerable. I went to my 3:45pm Dr. appointment and of course just like the weeks before, I was told I hadn't dilated nor had my cervix softened. I went home and took a nap only to wake up at 6:45pm to a pain that I had never felt before in my lower right stomach, this was not a normal Braxton hicks this was like a muscle cramp. Allan and I started putting all the breathing techniques we learned in our Lamaze class into use. They really did help take the edge off. Both of our Mothers came over which I did enjoy their presence, kinda took my mind off of things. But then my mother n law invited her husband and Allan’s little brother, which I wasn't too happy about, but it was too late to tell her not to. The contractions continued, until I couldn't take it anymore and told Allan that it was time to pack up and head to the hospital, by this time it was 11:30pm. When we got to the hospital they assessed me to see if I was actually in labor, and...... Well, not only was I not dilated, but once we got to the hospital my contractions went from 5 mins apart to 30 mins apart, I WAS TOTALLY PISSED!!!!!! Allan and I were sent home, at about 3am. All that night and all day Thursday June 5 the contractions got stronger and stronger and closer together, they would stop me dead in my tracks. Allan even took off work to be with me, after every contraction and sometime during a contraction I would run to the toilet, and there I would sit for relief. All the while I was feeling contractions in my lower stomach and now the pain moved down into my, I guess birthing cannel. That's when it got real intense. Thursday night around 10:30pm I started losing my mucus plug, I thought to myself "YESSS! I've finally started dilating. Needless to say Allan and I didn't get any sleep that night, I even took an Ambian 10mg and it didn't work. That morning I called my Dr. and told them what I was experiencing, and they told me to rush to the hospital, because it sounded like I was in true labor. And sure enough I was. We got to the hospital around 9:00am the nurses established that I was 4cm dilated. As soon as I got settled into a room I asked for the Epi (which I had planned on not accepting) this was the worst mistake I could have made, as soon as I received it my Strong and steady contractions slowed down. It took a few hours just for me to make it to 5 cm. My Dr. had gone out of town so another had to deliver my baby. He just so happened to be the worst Dr. at that practice. I heard stories about him, and how rude and honoree he was. He made me feel soooo rushed and worthless. He told me he was going to break my water, he didn't ask, he made me feel it was manditory, so I went along with it. Good thing I did, then we found out Aj pooped in the amniotic fluid, which meant he was in some sort of stress, and after viewing Aj's heart pattern, the Dr. felt it mandatory to give me a c section. During the Section they hadn't deadened me all the way and I felt him cutting me, he abruptly told them to put me to sleep, as they scrambled to put me under, he continued to cut me even though I could feel it. I woke up in recovery to a frantic room, and the pain of someone pressing on my stomach. Because of all the pain, my pressure spiked to 200/? They continued to pump more and more pain relievers into my IV. 2 hours later I was finally reunited with my baby. The most wonderful feeling in the world!!!!
