Type of delivery: Vaginal (without pain relief)
Duration of labor: total 36 hours, 3 hours pushing!
Weight @ birth: 8lb

Nearly managed the dream birth I hoped for. laboured without too much pain until 8cm with the help of a TENs machine and a very wonderful husband. switched to Gas and air at 8cm but labour stalled. Had waters broken then dilated to the magic 10 but couldn't push him out. Poor little mite had got stuck quite high up and no mater how hard I pushed he just wouldn't budge (burst a blood vessel in my eye with the strain!) after 3 long painful hours he was delivered with the help of forceps, episiotomy and the full body weight of the Doctor! Feeling sore now but very happy and despite everything baby had an APGAR score of 9 on delivery and 10 at 5 mins.
