Abigail-Rae-Barrett`s birthstory

We gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on March 27th, 2008 at 5:52 PM. She has blessed our lives, and I can`t imagine my life without her. The total labor was 16 hours, but only the last 5 or 6 were pretty intense...the first 10 hours were pretty mild and we were able to labor at home during this portion. Abby came out alert and bright eyed, and she is absolutely perfect. The nurses and the doctor were impressed that I wanted to go through labor without pain relief because I think it is so rare that they see that anymore. Our nurse mentioned that it was the most amazing birth she had seen in years, so that made us feel great! My husband was by my side the entire time and was a wonderful coach.
