Olivia`s birthstory
So i went in for an appt on 6/6/08 I was already a week overdue. I ended up having an ultrasound to check the fluid level and i found out that it was VERY LOW. So i was sent over to the labor and delivery to be induced only thing that every room was full with woman in active labor so I was put on hold until some of the other babies were born. At around 7PM they stated the Pit and nothing really happened. I felt awful to begin with because I had a cold and had lost my voice and really didnt have the engery for labor to begin with. So around 1:30 in the morning on Sat my constractions were getting stronger and closer together. I delt with them okay my husband was sleeping on the cot next to me snoring and I thought that I would try and wake him up. I kept throwing the pillows at him and then the TV remote and he still was snoring. Luckly my mom came in the room so I asked her to wake him up. Anyways so they increased my Pit even more which being induced was very hard because the contractions are WAY more intense! at about 4AM I was in a lot of pain, and started to vomit (i usually vomit while in labor due to a pain response)- at about 5:50AM I had enough. I felt like I was going to die if the pain in my cervix wasn`t going to go away. I was at the point where I kept asking people to help me but not to touch me at all. So my midwife checked me and i was at 10CM and she said that I had to push. Then next thing I knew I had 4 doctors at the end of my bed and my midwife. They had told me that her heart rate was dropping and that i had to get her out fast!! So I pushed like there was no tomorrow. Even when i wasn`t contracting I pushed. They ended up using a vaccuum to try and get her out fast since her heart rate was dropping. I even heard them say to have the OR ready for a c-section if I could not get her out within the next couple of pushes. So in a total of 10 minutes of pushing she was here. I ended up doing a VBAC which I am soooooo happy I did. Having her put on my chest right after she was born was soo special to me. With my son I ended up having general anesthesia and didnt even get to see him until the next day. So having here there being able to hold her right away was amazing. And the best part of it was I didn`t even tear!!!!! It was just amazing. The pain was very intense and being induced wasn`t fun but other than that the pushing didn`t last long and now she is here!
