Rayne`s birthstory

started leaking water, went to hospital to see if it was amniotic fluid, got the test, and 10 min later the nurse comes in and says `lets have a baby!`. sat around in the room for a few hours, wasnt having any contractions, and only dialated to 2cm. they gave me an iv and pitocin to speed things up. layed around for a few more hours, doc checked me and i was at 3cm, they kept upping the pitocin, but it wasnt doing much. i was having some contractions, but nothing i could feel. 24 hours later, i get checked again, dialated to 4-5cm. the nurse felt around and found that my bag of water was still there and quite full. i must have broke a smaller bag she said. they broke the bag of water, and that made things move a lot faster. 2 hours later i was feeling strong contractions, finally! 3 hours after that i was ready to push. funny thing is i had 29 hours of labor, but it only took 12 min to push her out! once she started crowning, i had had enough, and gave it every thing i had to get her out! found out i had hemoraged after giving birth, thank god for meds! both baby and i are doing wonderfull now, and very happy to be home!!
