On Friday (2/6) I woke up determined to get my baby girl out, so Mike and I decided to go downtown to walk around the local 'Home-Show'. After a couple of hours walking around we went to Target and walked some more. While we were there I decided to buy some castor oil because I was getting desperate! We ended up going home and laying around for a while because I was exhausted.

Around 7pm I asked Mike if he thought I should try and take the castor oil and he actually said yes. I ended up putting 1tbsp of it into my applesauce because I've heard it's horrible on it's own. It wasn't too bad mixed in.

So about 11:30pm I decided to go to bed, disappointed that I wasn't having any contractions. Well to my suprise I woke up at 1am having contractions. I layed there for a little while just seeing if they were close at all and ended up getting out of bed at 2am and going to the living toom to time them. I timed them for 2 hours and they were about 3-5 mins apart. I went in the bedroom and told Mike that I think I was going to call the Doctor and he asked me if I thought I could wait. haha....I was like "I don't think so!" I think he was worried this was another false alram, like I did, since we had one a couple weeks earlier.

Anyways, I called the Doctor and he told me to come into L&D. We got there about 4:30am and they hooked me up to the monitors and checked me. I was still only 3-4cm so the nurse said she would just see what happened in the next hour or so. We were really starting to think I was going to be sent home again, espessially after she told me they probably wouldn't break my water or anything unless I progressed.

Luckily my Doctor was the one on-call at the hospital and she came back in a little while later and told me they were going to just admit me and put me on pitocin. I was so relieved!! I think my Doctor knew I was ready because we had already talked about inducing me if I went past 39 weeks.

So I got admitted around 6am and put on iv's and pitocin. The contractions were getting pretty strong around 1pm and I was 5cm. They told me they would be in to break my water soon, so I was just going to wait and get the epidural then. Well around 3pm they still hadn't been in to break my water, and at that point the contractions were hurting so bad! I ended up asking for them to give it to me and they were finally in to break my water at 3:30.

An hour after that I was 8-9cm in only an hour! The nurse let me know that my Doctor was in on a c-section so took me off the pitocin and basicaly told me to wait for him. lol....About 25 mins later I started feeling a really strong urge to push! The nurse came in and said I was ready and let me know it would probably be at least an hour of pushing.

After a couple sets of practice pushes she started getting everything ready and called for the Doctor. Even though I had an epidural, the pressure was unreal! I was in alot of pain! While I was pushing the Doctor ended up having to do an apesiotomy which I felt completely! I guess I even tore a little bit too!

After 45 mins of pushing Addisyn Marie was here! She was 7lbs 13oz and 21 1/4 inches long and so beautiful!!

On Sunday November 6th I woke up in the middle of the night w/damp underware. Since this happened w/my 1st and ended up being nothing I just changed them and went back to bed. An hour later they were wet again. This kept happening through the day so I called the on call Dr who told me if they wernt soaked or I didnt notice any dripping that it probably wasnt my water leaking. I went on about my day like usual.

Monday November 7th I had a normal day. Cleaned, did laundry ect. After my daughter got up from her nap I took her to the potty. As I was bending down to move her stool I felt a gush of water. I immediately sat down on the toilet and peed to make sure I didnt pee on myself. I sat there for a few minutes and then got up only to find that it was still leaking out of me. Yep, my water broke! I went outside and told my husband "I think my water broke" to which he said while standing on the roof of our house cleaning out the gutters "Do you want me to come down?". Ummm YEAH!!!

My MIL came over and picked up Addisyn and we headed to the hospital. My water broke at 5:30pm. My Dr was not on call but kept getting updates on me through the whole labor. He decided not to put me on any pitocin and just see how I did. I made slow but steady process through the whole evening. I finally got my epi around 12-1am. They worked for about 45 mins to get it to work. It worked up until I felt pressure (just like w/my 1st) then I started to feel everything again. The nurse turned me to my side since I was at 9cm and w/in 5 mins I was 10cm. She called the Dr and he was on his way!

I was in so much pain and had to push so bad but the nurses were telling me not to because they Dr wasnt there yet! I had to wait about 20-30mins for him to get there and was so miserable!! I was in tears! When he finally got there I pushed only 6 minutes and Lyla Sue was born on November 8th at 6:38am! She was 6lbs 9oz & 19in long! She was so tiny!!
