Jonathan-Reese`s birthstory

I started having contractions every 10 minutes apart at 1:15am. This had happened a week ago on sunday and nothing happened past that. My hubby was just going to bed so he was timing the contractions. I was due on February 4th so any contractions I was having were a bit more uncomfortable, lol. When mu hubby finally decided to fall asleep my contractions were every 5-4minutes apart. So I woke him up and asked if we should go to the hospital...he suggested we wait a little longer. But when I told him my last 5 contractions were 5-4 mins apart he said `let`s do this`, lol. He said the baby was coming today when he was timing my contractions and threw in the name Jonathan...even though Jayden was being `forced` (lol) on me. But we had settled on that name.

We got the children dressed and threw some extra stuff in our bags. i called Nana (my mom) to let her know that we were going up to the hospital and would call if I was being admitted; so she could come get the children. Well I had the 10 min apart contractions for about an hour and a half and was kneeling to releive the pain with every few contractions. By the time we got to the hospital (on as really snowy & windy morning, lol) it was about 3:15am. The Nurses took the children to the waiting room and gave them snacks, drinks, and crayons (sooo helpful!). Me and my hubby proceeded with 2 nurses to get me all checked out. So the Nurse (seemed newer) was like...ummm, and the other nurse was like huh? are you sure? And she said `yea! pretty sure.` And I was like...what?! She said I was a 9! lol. I was like...ooook. (I was pretty surprised cause my contractions were still very bearable) I tolf my hubby to call my mom to get the children and they were transfering me to a room and calling the doctor. I got a really great woman Dr from my office (my male Dr was on vacation that week) and everything was pretty fast, lol. She came and I was going strong wioth contractions. She had a c-section scheduled at 5:30am. So she ordered an IV be put in a teeny bit of pitocin be put in to `bump` me. So I was on a oxygen mask (which I totally don`t know why...it was sooo annoying) and getting an IV. Then the Dr. broke my water bag and It wasn`t long after that. I kept trying to put the mask to my face. It seemed like 15-20 minutes after she broke my water that I was ready to push. They kept asking me if I felt the need to and I kept saying no. But then right after a contraction I had I was lik...ok. I gotta push. I felt like I had to but he wasn`t right there. so the pressure wasn`t so bad. I planned to not have medicine and the nurse asked me (within her series of 1 million questions) if I planned to have some. I was like...`can I have some?` (being sarcastic) and she was like...well no...not at this point. I was like I thought so, lol. So I did 3 reps of pushing and made sure my hubby had the mirror so I could see. By the 4th push I was hurting down there...I was like.. almost screaming and I was like `is that his head!!` and yup! It was. Another push and he was out. My Jonathan Reese...Perfect! I held him still gooey and wet and was kinda hysterical cause all I could do was chuckle and say how beautiful he was and how labor wasn`t too bad. He was perfect in every way! He wasn`t a cryer either...cause he was in my arms...he did cry when they took him though to get weighed and such. Papa was so geeked to hold him finally and we just enjoyed him for awhile. The nurses didn`t give him a bath for quite sometime and I was able to breastfeed him soon after he was born. He`s home now ...been a week. And his brother and sister love him sooo much! We are totally in love with this little boy and enjoy every day with him. He`s opening his eyes more and moves soooo much. It`s almost ridiculous how much he is moving his head and body, lol. Welp...that`s about it.

OH! I asked my hubby what was the most memorable moment of me in labor. He said he didn`t really know. But when I brought up that I looked at him after a contraction and just shook my head no...and he just starred at me like `I`m sorry...what can I do` lol. The moments were brought back to his mind. He said he thought it was funny cause my legs were shaking really bad after the baby was born..lol. And that it was funny cause my first couple of pushes I pooted...I apologized cause I was so embarassed and the first time my husband laughed and I did a little...but it hurt to laugh, lol. He also said that it was funny cause the nurse was making me breathe in the mask and I kept putting it under my chin. But when I was pushing...it totally got in the way and I took it off and kinda chuckd it! lol. Needless to say...this delivery was a bit more laughable than the last. And being my 2nd vbac...it really went very smooth and wasn`t too bad pain-wise at all.
