Birthing Story

My OBGYN thought I should have a c-section because my history of Crohn's disease and the surgery's that I have had in the past. So I had a planned c-section set for the 19 of March. But I guess Leah Marie had other plans of her own! The month of February came and I had caught a very bad chest cold. I had been coughing hard for about 4 days and had been sleeping on the couch because it was so bad. Around 3:00 a.m. in the morning on Feb. 25th I got up and started to cough again and right when I did my water broke. I got up and ran into the bathroom and it did seem to stop. I woke up my husband and told him what had happened. It was really kind of funny. He was in total shock! We got to the hospital around 4:30 am the doctor's had to wait around some because they wanted to talk to my pulmonary doctor to get the okay to go ahead with the c-section. The doctors ended up getting me in for the c-section and I had her at 9:51 am. Everything went perfect! She was a healthy and happy newborn!
