Yazeed was born on the 6 July 2008 at 12:10 after 10 little bit difficult hours of labour. This is how it happened.

You know how they say you get a nesting feeling, and you just want to clean when it's babies time? LIE!!! The night before Yazeed was born I was as lazy as can be although daddy and I did do a bit of baby dancing (I still think that's what brought on my early labour) Anyway come 3 o'clock and I feel this HORRIBLE back pain. I ask James to rub my back but he's half asleep and is just not doing it right. I try and get some sleep and dose in and out of it. Come 5 oclock- I can't take this !@#$^%^ pain anymore. By now I am stripped naked and "walking" around my sitting room table on all fours.

I called my sister up at about 5:05 and the first thing she asks is "are you in labor" DUH!!! Why else will I be calling at 5 in the morning??? I get in the bath and out just as quick when my sister tells me the bathwater is going to bring on the pain even more.. All this time James is getting ready to go to work. He is convinced it's a false alarm. WTF!

Eventually after convincing him it's NOT a false alarm we head off to the hospital. The sister in charge must have though I was mad when I told her I was in labour as then I was very much calmer to what I've been at home. Off to the ward and she checks me. I'm already 6CM dilated.

Because Yazeed was premature (born at 36 weeks) I was strapped to all kind of gadgets and couldn't move. That was not very nice but I adapted. At 08:35 the sister gets instructions to "rupture my membranes" COULD SOMEONE PLEASE SPEAK ENGLISH???? By now I'm frustrated and don't want someone speaking to me in a foreign language. Ok now I get it, she's going to break my waters. When I saw what she was going to use to do that I was ready to remove baby with my bare hands..

Few hours passed and about 12:00 I feel that something is going to happen soon. I call the sister and she checks me, she walks out and returns with doctor and midwife, all the comotion had me worried but I was just relieved that baby was on his way. 12:10 Yazeed came into this world, I was exhausted by then so doctor removed him with the help of forcep. My first words were hi noenoe (noenoe is southafrican for cutey etc) Eversince my life and James' has been blessed. We wouldn't change him for anything in this world.
