Christian-Taylor-O-Brien`s birthstory

My water broke at 3:30 Tuesday. I had just walked out of a meeting with my boss! Since Taylor was still very high (-2 station) I gushed and couldn`t stop. Everyone at work was running around and being excited. My friend Paige, who has a 10 month old, drove me to the hospital. I was still only 2 cm dialated. They started me on Pitocin and I started dialating about 1 cm per hour. On a very low anount of pitocin, I begin having serious contractions right on top of each other. I got my epidural at 9pm. Pat was at the hospital from about 6pm until I delivered. Poor guy left the room once while I was pushing - I think it wasn`t too long after I threw up. Ha! The doctor and the nurse didn`t know what to think. Ok, back to the birth story. I had to get some more epi medicine because I could feel the contractions in my rear end. It was bad! I was shaking. I finally got about one hour of sleep. When the nurse came back - I was a 10 (cm). I pushed for an hour and a half. Hardest thing I have ever done! In my life! Pat cut the cord, put on the first diaper and went to the nursery with the baby. He is in love! He came back that night with three little stuffed animals, showing Taylor what to hunt. He held him for two hours, just looking at him the whole time. Well, baby is up and needing to eat. will update more later with pics!
