Well it all began at 2:00 Friday morning. I kept having these horrible contractions that would last about 5 minutes and then stop. I decided that I would grab a snack and some water and go upstairs and read my book. I drank the water thinking that the contrations would go away because usually they do except this time I didn't seem so lucky. I layed in bed with these contractions until like 4:00 in the morning at that point I couldn't take them any longer and had to keep jumping out the bed every time that I had one to get some type of relief. I went down stairs and woke my mom up and told her what was going on and she told me to call my OBGYN. When I called I got the answering service and they took my number and name and said that they would page her and have her call me back. At exactly 4:20 am she called me back and I told her what was going on and she said that even though they are 5 minutes apart wait another hour and if they keep coming to go to the labor and birth center at the hospital. The horrible thing about this all was that my doctor was out of town attending a conference. I sat on the couch for about 40 minutes and they kept coming 5 minutes apart and alot stronger than before. I decided to go upstairs and get washed up and dressed because I was going to the hospital I just knew they were not going to end. At about 6:00 I grabbed my over night bag and me and my mother headed out the door and got in the car. We got in and the car wouldn't start. The battery was dead and my sister had my car back at school. Now here I am with these horrible painful contractions and the car won't start but its ok I definitley could handle them. I called my dad and he left work to come get us. We then dropped him off at work and was on are way to the hospital. While in the car the contractions began to die down some and thats when I began to think that everything would be ok once I got there because I wanted my doctor to deliver my baby. We got to the hospital about 6:40 am. Once in the parking garage we parked, got out of the car and I decided that I would leave my bag in the car. As I began to walk to the emergency room doors the contractions came back even stronger. I got inside and got registered which took only 5 minutes because I've been there before. A nurse got a wheel chair and took me up to my room. I changed my clothes and put on a gown and they got me hooked up to the moniter to see the babys' heart rate and my contractions. My nurse came in and began asking me questions about my contractions, my placenta, and the medicines that I was on which were only my prenatal vitamins. She told me that the doctor would be in soon and left. My contractions began to get very painful where I had to grab something just to try and not think about the pain but once again I could handle them. The doctor came into my room at about 8 am and check to see if I was dialated and I was 1 to 2 centimeter... WILL FINISH SOON...
How many weeks?...
