LilliAnn-Joy`s birthstory

Well at my 37 week ultrasound, Lilli was measuring 8 lbs! and we knew she was only going to go up from there! I waited each week hoping to see some sort of dialation, but by 39 weeks the only progress was a slightly soft cervix, and being that my son was a c-section, they felt that the risk of a rupture through a vbac would be too great because of her size, and the fact that she could have stayed in the womb up to 2-3 more weeks!
So I was scheduled for a repeat section the day after my 39 week check up!

We left Joey with my aunt and her husband, we left for the hospital with my mom when it was still dark out to make the hour trip to a decent hospital, (the one nearest is where I delivered Joey and ended up with ecoli! and literally almost died). I was much more nervous this time because I knew it was coming! I was preped and was in the operation room by 930! every one was so pleasant, and I didn`t` even mind the college students that watched! or the anestiologist student that had to poke me multiple times! lol I just prayed when he was doing it because it was painful! but I lived and the sensation was crazy! after I was numb they allowed Josh to come in, he held my hand and we picked out boy names (knowing from 3 ultrasounds that it was suppose to be a girl). I was able to talk to the Dr`s and they were so nice answered all my questions even while they were working and then one of them called out time it was 10:20 and then at 10:21 LilliAnn Joy Dunlap made her first appearance in the world! she had the sweetest cry and the darkest brown hair! Which was a shock since Joey`s hair was orange! Every said she sure was a chunker! and she is, but some how she still looks smaller than Joey did when he was born at 8lbs 14 oz 23 inches long, I guess those couple inches make a ton of difference!

So I`m still at the hospital recovery is going really well, the doctor said that we should be able to make it to BOO @ the zoo on the 25th, as long as I take it easy!, I`m breast feeding and hoping that I stick with it! all in all, I can`t believe we are know a family of four!

and Josh has been amazing!
