91007(BIRTH STORY)

SHE IS HERE!!!! I started getting the contractions on the 9th at 10pm after i took the castor oil, and i figured that they would just go away, but i went to sleep and woke up around 5am with stronger contractions than i went to bed with. i called my mom at work and told her i needed to go to the hospital. when we got there i wasnt dialated anymore, but they told me to drink alot of water and walk around the hospital for an hour, so thats what i did. after i did that they checked me and i was dialated another cm, and 90% effaced. my midwife asked me how long i had been having the contractions and i told her since 10pm the night before, so she said you have been piddleing along for too long. lets have this baby. she broke my water and started me on petocin to speed things up. she asked me if i was still going to go natural and i told her yes. she said i was brave lol so the contractions came and went and got stronger and stronger and before i knew it i was dialated to a 9 12. at that point i thought i was gonna die. i felt like i needed to push sooooo bad but they told me not to. i couldnt help myself tho and i pushed anyways. my midwife told me to hold my breath hold my legs back and push as hard as i could. i had no idea it was even possible to push that hard. my mom said my hole face and lips were completely purple. before i knew it i felt a burning sensation and she was like push harder and do not stop her head is coming. that was all i needed to hear. i pushed with all my might and out came her head. they told me to stop pushing and they sucksioned out her nose and mouth and then turned her and pulled her out the rest of the way. she was 2 weeks early and weighed 6lbs 11ounces and was 21 inches long. I am sooo happy that i was able to do a completely natural delivery because aside from being tired i felt GREAT afterwards! She was so allert and wide eyed, and absolutely perfect. i couldnt have asked for a better labor and birth.

On the 16th i went to the hospital with contractions 5 min apart and was 3cm dialated and they sent me home. on the 17th i went in with contractions 3 min apart and was 3-4cm dialated and was sent home. Then I went back on the 18th and was having contractions 1 min apart and was dialated to a 5. My doctor was STILL gonna send me home because my water hadnt broken but the nurse wasnt having that lol. She was like... im just gonna tickle your babys head if thats ok with you... and she acted like she was checking me and she broke my water for me and told me not to tell haha. she was awesome. four and a half hours and two pushes later she was born with no pain meds. Absolutely perfect!!!!!
