I Was 42 weeks overdue so i went to Whangarei Hospital to be induced. The doctors asked me if i wanted a stretch an sweep to see if that would work before they started anything so i got that this was all at 11.00am on Tuesday 13th May 08. I went out for the day because i was`nt due back until 7.00pm that day. At 4.00pm my waters broke an then i started getting little contractions i went back to the hospital at 7.00pm an they left me to see if anything had happened but still nothing. So on the Wednesday 14th May 08 they gave me some gel to try an speed things up i had only dialated 3cms my contractions were getting really really sore an an by 7.00pm that night they checked again to see if anything had happened an i had dialated to 6cms. Allnight i was having real hard contractions an they were getting really painful so bad i couldnt handle them i had no sleep alnight When they checked me at about 7.00am Thursday 15th May 08 nothing had happened so that was very scary for me iam soo lucky i had such a supportive partner who stuck with me from day1!!!!! So what had happend was they put me on the drip which gave me sintosinin an i also had to have an epidural because my body was overtired an they pain was extreme!!!! i got rest an by 3.00pm that evening my cervix was fully dialated an i could PUSH so the doctors told me when to push because i couldnt feel anything an Our gorgeous baby was born at 4.57pm. I tell you all the pain an everything was worth it all he is such beautiful baby boy. The reason all this had happened was because baby was posterior an he just didnt want to come out. i love my partner so much he was so helpfull an i couldnt do it with out him.
