Ellie`s birthstory

contractions started at 12:30am wednesday morning and were 10 minutes appart but not too painful so i slept thru them till about half past 3, when they were a little bit closer together and stronger. i went to the toilet and there was my show....well it had started to come out anyway (didn`t stop all the way thru labour lol)
still didn`t think contractions were anything much to worry about even though they were 6 mins appart at half 5 in morning, so i told babys dad to go to work as it would be hours.......MISTAKE!!!! had to call him back a couple of hours later as contractions were gettin closer together...but his boss took his damn van off him and made him get the train home!!!!!! so whilst waiting for him to come back, my mum and sis came over to keep an eye on me and time the contractions for me.
by 12pm contractions were 3 mins appart but decided that they were going to slow right down and at 1pm ....NOTHING....no contractions....just NOTHING.
so i made my sis go to chemist and get some caster oil for me (not recommending by the way) and after taking a litle with OJ me n mum went for walk to shops... and they started again....1 minute appart....and REALLY REALLY painful now....didn`t stay at home long wen we got back we left for the hospital within half an hour and were seen straight away.... was monitored for about an hour but i was only 3cm dialated!!!! so they said to go home and come back later. while my fella went to get the car from his uncle, we waited about an hour outside the hospital and i could not spaek thru the pain by the time he got back to take us home.... so we went back into the hospital...(well i collapsed in the main entranceway and took mother in law with me!!!) got wheeled up to delivery suite and i was 8cm dialated!!! (in just an hours time!!) it was very painful and even though i had gas and air, it wasn`t really helping at all... think we had left it too late....an hour after gettin in the delivery doom i said to the nurse as loudly and calmly as possible that i felt a lot of pressure suddenly, and in the next breath i almost screamed that i needed to push.....within 20 minutes we were holding our beautiful baby girl with a full head of hair, bright pink....i didn`t realise she was even there (due to gas and air0 until she cried and it woke me up.....omg i fell in love....again!!!
