well i was meant to be due the 6thjune but then i wake up on the sunday morning the 8th june and iv had a bit of a show well so i think anyway i start having some pains like period pains and in my back i asked my mom n partner what shell i do and they were like ring the midwife well i dont like making a fuss incase it was a false alarm so my mom rings them and they ask to speak to me anyway lol guess i should of called after all the midwife says come to the maternitiy ward and we will check you out. by this time its about 3pm i get my bags and we are off to the maternity ward. when i get there the midwife checks me and says im about 2cm she gives me a sweep to get things moving along bit more. after that we cud of gone home or stay so i decied to take a walk outside cuz it was a lovely hot day and the midwife said its gonna be a while, well after the sweep oh god did the pain start to kick in i was sitting on a rocking chair looking awful i had my partner rubbing my back and my mom about 7pm sunday evening they checked me again and i was getting there but i wasnt really paying much attention to the midwife cuz the pain was horrible and i was drugged up on gas and air lol and i had 2 shots of peth to try help me get some rest i did sleep for a bit but it soon wore off. then about 9ish i think i wasnt so sure on the times but they broke my waters and man that was soooo strange i thought i was weeing my self lol, now about 1am on the 9th june. for some reason i remember looking at the clock at this point i was 10cm dilated and time to start pushing and i did but it just wasnt happening at all i was getting tired weak the midwife decieds to tell us we think his back to back and is going to be very difficult for me to get him out but i carry on pushing till about 4am they decied to transfer me to the big main hospital 15miles away so i was rushed off in an ambulance which was a horrible journey cuz i was in sooo much pain and i wanted to push soo bad but the midwife was saying no once we got to the hospital i was taken into a big room and there was like 4 midwifes lol and a surgon, the surgon kept going his head is bent back and might have to take me to theater to have a forceps delivery when i heard them words i shit myself lol well cuz i was so weak they hooked me up to a meachin for fuilds and somthing eles to get my contractions stronger, the midwife i had when i arrvied at the hospital it was time for her to finsih so its about 7am now and this nice midwife comes in and says to the surgon let me try so we dont have to have a forcep delivery, well the surgon trys to turn his head a bit cuz of it being bent backwards which seemed to off worked cuz he was comming slowly, i start pushing using my hands under my leg well my left hand had the drip in it but not for long it decied to come out and blood went everywhere lol my mom my partner and a midwife try to mop up the blood and keep pressure on my hand but i wont let them cuz i need it lol evenutly the midwife delivery him says one last push and he be out i said are you sure lol and one last push he was but with the help of a large cut to help his head out cuz he was starting to get distressed and the time was 742am whohoooo he was out and he was placed straight on to me and my mom me and jay are all crying and i ask why aint he crying the midwife laughs and says not always babys cry lots when born he just stared up at me with his blue eyes, jay cuts the umbilical cord he says its like cutting a hose pip with sissors lol. after that the midwife stitches me up which takes like hour n half and it was pretty painfull so get to use the gas n air again whoooo great stuff... then after alll that i go up to the ward to rest. it was a very long painfull labour/birth and it put me off compelety but once im all healed up and not sore im sure i would do it again plus mason was well worth it his my lil star :o) xxx
