Kailyn-Reese`s birthstory

Started having contractions around 2 in the afternoon on Monday. We were scheduled for inducing on Tuesday morning at 6am. i had been asking my little girl to come early so i could have the full experience. My husband was off from work, FMLA, already and he and i started keeping track of the contractions. Around 6 pm they were 5 mins apart, so off to the hospital we went. We had lots of friends and family stopping by, and up untill around 9, i was talking with everyone, but the contractions grew in intensity and i finally asked for pain relief. Right before the doctor got there, i had a very painful contraction and that broke my water....glad i got to experience that too. The epidural was no big thing at all, and i was worried about it. The relief came very quickly and the doctor was extremely proficient....it was in before i knew it. i did manage some sleep that night. around 4 am i woke with some pressure that the epidural was not relieving. it felt like i had to go #2 right then....and then again with the next contraction, and again....this lasted the remainder of the labor. Finally around 6:30am i was complete, they called the doctor and i begain pushing around 7am. The pushing really tires you out. Several times i didn`t think i could push anymore. Around 10:30, the doctor said i had about 30 minutes of pushing before she was going to order a C-section. They put some pitocin in my IV, the contractions came faster and stronger. I finally started getting some good feedback from the nurses and before i knew it, she was born! I was so tired from the labor and pushing that i could hardly keep my eyes open. She`s been such a blessing!
