Let me start with I started having really strong period like cramps early Friday afternoon..but knew it was was just prelabor....so I was just breathing through the cramps..they were too irregular..and in my opinion, seemed to just be hard period cramps..I finally fell asleep once they subsided which was around 6 am..well Saturday morning I got up around 10:30 am and they INSTANTLY started back up again..but were pretty far apart...well..I fell asleep for a couple hours..but felt the pains throughout..I got up for a bit..then tried to sleep a bit more..but the pains started getting stronger..I got up at 5, and when I went to the restroom there was a HUGE show...I had been losing my plug, and seen slight pink..but there was no mistaking this show! So I took a shower, and mosied around..not really thinking I was in labor..WELL, I went to the hospital and I was 3 cm dialated, 90% effaced with a bulging bag of water! So I walked around for an hour and a half, and when they checked me, I was 5 CM!! So I went from 3-5 in an hour and half! They admitted me!! I could hardly beleive it was baby time! So I decided on my epidural, which came about an hour later at midnight..well, About 20 minutes after she gave me the epi, I suddenly felt like I wanted to throw up, and got really hot, and felt like I was going to pass out, and sudenly nurses and docs rushed in, my blood pressure had dropped extremely low (which is common with epidurals) and babies heartbeat decelled . They put me on oxygen, rolled me over, and things were fine. The doc checked me, I was 8 cm, and she broke my water. Well, a couple hour laters, my epi really started wearing off, I was about a 9, so they just topped me off a bit, to help with contractions..and that wore off in about 10 minutes, and i was immediately in EXCRUCIATING PAIN!! They were coming back to back, and hurting like hell! So at 4:30 am, baby was still very high, and I was fully dialated, and feeling everything, so they topped me off a little bit more, and gave me an hour to contract, and push him down a bit. Around 5:30, she came in, I wasn`t quite feeling contractions just yet, so they waited 30 more minutes. At 6 am they came in, got things ready, and I started pushing at 6:05 AM. He was born at 6:38 am!!! Only 30 minutes of pushing! The doc did have to use the vaccum because babis heartbeat again decelled, and he was in distress. I didn't know this, but they started to prep an OR, I was focused on getting him out, and that I did! He is a healthy baby boy!! He is absolutely gorgeous!! :) And I only got a small degree tear!! They did have to put him on antibiotics because I had a fever when I delivered, and they wanted to make sure he doesn`t have an infection, but he is doing great, I am doing fantastic, and a very proud mommy!!!! :) I love my baby boy soo much! I am truly truly blessed!!!
