Jonathan-David`s birthstory

I was induced with pictocin at about 7:30am. The day seemed long & uneventful until they broke my water at about 5:00pm. They were waiting so long to break my water because he was so high up & not in the birth canal. Once they broke my water things started to progress a little more. When I was finally ready to push my cervix was still not fully dialated all the way on 1 side but I told them I had to push anyway...(I did have some tearing)...the doctor said the baby was acting as though he was face up, & then he confirmed that he was face up! This would not have alarmed me except when we were chatting with my nurse from earlier in the day she was talking about how she had only ever seen 3 baby`s delivered face up, this usually results in an emergancy c-section! Before that I had never given thought to a baby being delivered face up. So....I was determined that I was not going to have a c-section & I just pushed with all that was in me to get my baby boy out! I only pushed for about 10 or 15 minutes & it was so hard but I got him out & he was blue when he came out but after the doctor suchioned him he was fine. I was sooooo shaky all over my body! After they initially placed him on my belly to hold him & took him to weigh him I couldn`t hold him again right away because I was so shaky I thought I would drop him. He is absolutely perfect! We decided on his name about 5 minutes after his birth!
