Gabriel`s birthstory

My due date was May 22, 2008. However, due to gestational diabetes and pre-eclampsia I was told I would have him on May 12th. I couldn`t handle it....I spent the last month on bed rest...MISERABLE. So, on May 8th, at the doctor`s appointment I broke down....I was in pain, tired, anxious, and needed to have this baby! So the doctor said....I will see you tomorrow!!

We got to the hospital at 2:00 pm. We were met by Todd`s grandmother, aunt, and two sisters. My mother was also there! Todd and I immediately walked back.....The doctor showed up 10 minutes later and said, `Let`s do this!`

I was so nervous! Todd was amazing!!! I had my epidural (little bit of difficulty...not near as bad as I expected) and not 5 minutes later....they were pushing the belly to pop the little guy out! He was BUTT first!!!

I can not describe the emotion when I heard him cry....there is no way to! One just has to experience it!!! OHHHH! It is the best feeling in the world! Right along with seeing him, smelling him, and touching him for the first time!

All I can say is that I am in love!!! This is the highlight of my life....I can`t wait to be part of every moment...this is why I am here!
