Adam-Michael-Simpers`s birthstory

I had my membranes swept @ 9:40am & 4:30pm monday. Tuesday morning I woke up with some bloody discharge and I felt like I was leaking fluids. Since this was my first baby I wasn`t sure if my water broke or not. It wasn`t a lot of fluid so I figured if my contractions started I would go to the hospital. Around 12:30pm that afternoon I felt some more leakage and my husband and I agreed to go eat lunch then go in to the hospital to see if my water broke. We made it to the hospital around 2 and sure enough my water did break I was 4cm & 75% effaced at that time. I was admitted to L&D. Around 6pm the doc came in and checked me again. I was still 4cm & 75% effaced. My husband and I decided to start pitocin since I was not progressing in labor and we didn`t want to take the chance of infection on the baby or me. Since I wanted to have a natural labor I stuck to no pain meds. The pitocin REALLY started my contractions. It honestly took all I had to not ask for pain meds during the contractions. My contractions grew stronger and at 1:10am wed June 11th baby Adam was born. I can definately say that it was the most amazing experience in my life! I am so proud of my baby.
