Pragathi`s birthstory

On my 38th week appt on 8th May, I came to know I was 4 cm dilated..I know the end was near but did not expect on 10th May itself..I woke up as usual at 10 AM on 10th..had my cereal relaxedly as I did not have any contraction or pain..then I got up to go pee at 10.30 AM when I felt a gush of water pouring down from between my legs..I was confused whether its my water or I just peed on myself..As I was wondering, my first contraction hit me like someone stabbed me with knife down there..then I knew...I called for my husband and we both got ready to go to hospital..called the Dr and told my contractions are 7 mins apart and I think I broke my water..he asked me to come over asap..my hubby and me went to hospital at 12 PM and they hooked me up to monitors..by that time, I had to pee and when I did, had my bloody show..nurse checked me and I was 6 CM..they got the room ready immediately and moved me in there..I was screaming inside with pain but maintained my calmness outside and asked for epidural..they gave me the first dose when I went from 7 to 8 cm..but it did not work, I cud feel the pain as I was progressing very very fastly..the anesthecist gave me a second dose when I was at 9.5 cm..luckily it kicked in and it was time to push..my daughter was in my hands in the next 30 mins..by God`s grace, the labor went smoothly, ofcourse with a 3rd degree laceration, but it was ok compared to the whole experience.. we both are back home all healthy..Thanks for reading my story ..wish u all good luck..

Avanish`s birthstory

It was a lovely saturday morning and I just woke up at 8 AM and went to check on my daughter..she woke up too and got into the bed with us..it was 8.15 and we 3 were lying lazily on the bed..suddenly I felt a gush and was lying a pool of water..yes my water broke at 33 weeks..my hubby went to call the doctor..I was scared out of my mind as I did not know my cervix status and was wondering if I shud get up from the bed or call 911 for an ambulance to go to hospital.finally I decided to get up and nothing happened except water trickling and my contractions started..they were 4 mins apart..we were in the hospital by 8.45 AM and I was at 6cm..doc did an ultrasound and both babies were head down, so got ready for vaginal delivery..It was 9.30 AM and I was fully dilated..they gave me spinal block for just in case I need an emergency section..Wheeled me into OR for delivery and there were like 30 ppl,doctors, neonatalagists, nurses since its twins and they are coming early..finally at 10.30, my first boy was born and let out a big cry..his apgar was 8/9 and it was amazing for a baby born 7 wks early..and he weighed a whopping 5 lbs 9oz..he did not need any oxygen which was great as well..anyways, I had to get ready immediately to push the second boy ..story continues...

Abhay`s birthstory

Once the first boy is delivered, doc asked me to give a big push for boy 2..as I did that, he told me to take a break and signaled the nurse for something and told me to do a half push and there he was..2 mins after the first boy, my 2nd boy came out screaming and peeing...his apgar was 8/9 too and he weighed a whopping 5 lbs 3oz..once he was handed over to peds for checking, doc told me the drama happened with boy 2\'s birth.. just when I gave the push for boy 2, his cord showed up instead of him..that\'s why he asked me to wait and had to use the vaccum to pull him first holding the cord aside..he did not want to scare me at that point but once he was out and fine he told me...so I ended up with a first degree tear but I was very thankful that both my babies are here and doing so good..they both did not need any oxygen and fed right away on the first day..they still spent 10 days in the nicu for jaundice and just in case complications..but they were 2 little fighters..they did great and came home on Jan 20..right now, we are busy parents with 3 kids under 2 but very blessed and thankful to God almighty...Thanks for reading my story and may God bless you all with healthy children..
