Aniyah-Kristianna`s birthstory

I had to be induced at 35 weeks and 2 days! She arrived safely and is doing well. More detailed story later =] On Tuesday January 6th I had my 35 week checkup...and my doctor did my GBS culture test and then checked me..He said i was 2 cm dilated and 80% effaced and having a lot of contractions back to back. So he sent me to labor & delivery..and there in labor & delivery...the nurse hooked me up to the monitors and hooked me up to an iv to give me sum fluids to see if i was dehyrdated and thats maybe why i was having so many contractions back to back. So hours passed and I was still having a lot of contractions so the nurse and my doctor said I was really in labor! So I was then moved to a labor and delivery room across the hall! I was then still having a lot of contractions and a lot of pain so I received an epidural, but still I was 2 cm dilated and 80% effaced, so no progress just a night in the hospital! The next morning Wednesday January 7th, my doctor came and checked me and said I was then 3 cm dilated and 90 % effaced but he was worried about the maturity of Aniyah's lungs since I was only 35 weeks and 2 days! So I was sent downstairs to the Perinatal Center where I recieved an aminocentsis. The doctor who preformed it put STAT on it and I only had to wait a couple of hours for the results. So I went back to my room and waited and then around 5:30 pm, my doctor came and gave the GREAT news that her lungs were MATURE enough =] and he would break my water!! So he came back around 6 pm and broke my water and then i recieved my epidural again...but the contractions SLOWED DOWN! and then I recieved pitocin....and I started having a lot of pressure....and pain...about an hour later..a nurse came and checked me saying I was still just 3 cm dilated...about 30 mins later I was checked again and she said I was 4 cm dilated...I had TOO much pressure and had the urge to PUSH! This nurse said "No honey you are still just 4 cm" I said noooo I GOTTA PUSH..she said but you are just 4 cm..I was starting to get very very UPSET...I then told my mom that I had to push and I had A LOT OF PRESSURE and another nurse came and checked me and said I SEE THE HEAD..Now explain how the other nurse CLAIMED i was only 4 cm but in less then 5 mins later another nurse could see my baby girl's head??? LOL IDK but I pushed and in a couple of mins ANIYAH was BORN @ 8:09 pm..and ME AND HER FATHER love her a lot and everyone else...I did have to have A LOT of stitches....but I am doing pretty GOOD NOW..and so is Aniyah!!

Ariyannah-Kimoree-Marie`s birthstory

On Tuesday September 28 2010, I went for my 37 week and 6 day checkup. I told my doctor I thought I was leaking water so he examined me and said I was not leaking but I was 4 cm dilated and I would more than likely have the baby before Thursday. He said if I had any contractions after I left his office to come straight back to labor and delivery. So I was so EXCITED! I left his office not knowing I would be back at the hospital in about three hours. By the time I got home and got kind of comfortable I started feeling contractions and a lot of cramps, so I called my doctor and the nurse said for me to come straight to labor and delivery. So when I got to labor and delivery, of course the nurse hooked me to the monitors. She said that my baby looked good and more than likely I would not be induced because I was just about 38 weeks not 39 weeks. So I was kind of down when she said that. It took a little while for my doctor to come because he was doing surgery. When he came in he said he would come back and break my water and that baby girl would be here in about 3 hours! I WAS SO HAPPY!! So in like 30 mins he came back and broke my water. Soon after I started feeling some really really strong contractions back to back! The nurse came and checked me and said I was now 6 cm dilated! I was really in a lot of pain by then but I did not want an epidural right then. I was talking through my contractions but in the next 20 minutes I was in tears! I told the nurse I had a lot of pressure!! She checked me and said I was now 8 cm dilated and that I needed to get the epidural or it would be too late! She also said she could feel the baby`s head! It felt like the baby was coming then and I felt like I would never get my epidural! By the time I got my epidural it was basically too late! I felt lots of pressure and the nurse said it was time but I could not push until my doctor came! My doctor came and the nurses got the room ready for delivery. I was ready to push but I had to wait for the doctor and nurses instructions to push! I felt sooo much pressure, I felt EVERYTHING! I pushed about 4 or 5 times and I felt her head come out! She finally arrived @ 10:42 pm at 7 lbs 2 oz and 20 3/4 long! I LOVE HER so much and I am so happy to have both of my DAUGHTERS together!
