Selena`s birthstory

Selena is gorgeous!! Looks exactly like her daddy....but with my nose and hair!! My water broke at 0608. It was funny because papa bear and me were already up because we needed to go to Walmart for something and I was looking online for a 24 hour store location. We were talking and out of nowhere I hear a pop, feel like the baby kicked me and water came flushing out all in an instant!! I KNEW it was my water and I could not believe how much water was coming out. I had been told from every woman that it just trickles or comes out but it`s not that much. HA!! I felt like I was a faucet and someone just turned the sink on and left it running! It took us about 15 minutes to get ready to leave and I was on the way to the hospital with a towel between my legs because I was STILL losing fluid and I kept losing for well over an hour. After fighting labor for 16 hours without medication and only dialating 3 cm. I decided to go with the Epidural and by the 23rd hour I started pushing and 20 minutes later she entered the world at 0519 on early Valentines morning. I was very strong about labor and pushing but I cried after she came out not only because she was a miracle and my emotions were everywhere but she wasn`t breathing and I heard the nurses calling out and saying `Floppy pink baby.` I felt my heart sink. NO WAY my baby isn`t going to make it. I would have to be hospitalized if that happened. Within a few minutes she started crying and she was fine, the cord was apparently around her neck when she came out so she wasn`t getting oxygen. Selena was bombarded by not only nurses but by my mom and dad and Daddy and I didn`t get to hold her for what felt like 20-30 minutes since I had to get slightly stitched up and the placenta was being taken out slowly by my midwife. I`m so happy and I love being a mom. I don`t mind AT ALL being woken up at 2 or 6 in the morning to feed her. She has no idea how much love she is surrounded by. Even though it took damn near 24 hours to have her it was all so worth it and I couldn`t be happier, wow. Wish me luck as a new parent and GOD BLESS!!!
