As I had posted on week 40 I had lost my mucus plug on Friday morning and had bloody show on Saturday and since it was my due date I knew I was starting to go into labor because the same thing happened with my other kids, on Sunday morning a day after my due date I started having contractions every five minutes It was about 6am I waited in my house and started walking around I didn't want to go to L&D because I didn't want to be sent back home. After 3 hours they started being stronger and they were 3 minutes apart, my husband wanted to take me to the hospital but I wanted to wait longer after an hour they were so strong I decided to go, just got my bags and went thinking that they better not send me back because I was in so much pain, we still stopped at rite aid to get some batteries for the camera (be prepared) I was inside the car waiting for my husband to buy them and people were watching me as they would walk by the car I tried putting my best face but I couldn't I was in so much pain I was thinking what are we doing here, no wonder why we hear stories of babies being delivered in cars, it sounds funny now. After that we went to the hospital and as I was going in my husband told them I was ready to have my baby I told them that my contractions were 3 mins apart and the guy still asked me can you walk? but one of the nurses told him "they are three mins apart I don't think she can" can’t believe they asked me that, so they took me in a wheel chair so when they had me ready in bed the nurse came to check me I was praying not to be 2cm or 1 since I wasn't making any progress before but she said your 6cm I was so happy the first thing I said was “I need an epidural” I didn't want to miss it since that happened with my other children. They told me I just had to wait for one full bag of IV go in me before the epidural I was so afraid that I wasn't going to be able to get it but the nurse was so nice she promise me I was going to and they did, it was so amazing how wonderful I felt I even got time to sleep. when they came back to check me they thought I was ready but I was only 7cm and I stayed like that all day. The baby wasn't dropping I was a little scare of her size I thought maybe she was big since I had DG so from 12pm to 5 there was no progress I was getting inpatient so they came and broke my water bag, after they did I was complete but they said I had to wait I couldn't start pushing because my cervix wasn't ready so they turned off the epidural they said It was going to be alright that it would only take 20 min to be ready, but and hour after I wasn't ready and I started feeling pain and after more time I was in horrible pain and they were like a min apart It was so bad I was thinking what was the point of epidural if I was going to feel the worst part the nurse came and told me she didn't think it was going to take so long for me to get ready and we had to wait for the anesthesiologist to finish doing another patient I felt the longest hour in my life I was in a horrible pain, when he came in it took two more contraction for the pain to be completely out but it was worth it cause I didn't had to push with pain so at 8 40 pm I had my little Kimberly out and found out she had her umbilical cord wrapped two times around her neck that’s why she couldn’t drop but they checked her and everything was fine we came out Tuesday 18 but everything went well after all now I’m home enjoying my little joy and just want to thank this page to help me thru the last days of pregnancy I was so irritated but every time I logged in here and would read a birth story it would make me feel happy for all those new mommies and just helped me be a little more patient thanks to you guys for giving your self time to read my story good luck for the one's that are still waiting and congrats to all you new mommies.
