Azariah`s birthstory

Birth story is kind of late, but, better late than never...right? Well, my labor actually started Thursday, May 21st. I really didnt figure it was labor until the pains increased. Well, all day I was having contractions, and they were timing only a few minutes apart. I called my ob/gyn and they scheduled me an appt for the next day 2:45pm. So, I bared all the pain the rest of the day. The next morning, the contractions were coming stronger. So, 8:00am I went to the emergency room. They put me in a wheel chair and took me straight to labor and delivery. One of my obstetricians from the ob/gyn I was going to had to come up there. Well, just that Monday when I had an appointment, I was 1cm dilated and 50% effaced. He checked me, and at this point I was 5cm dilated and 90% effaced...WOW!!! So, they had me lie there for a couple of hours, feeling this pain... he came back in to check me 3 hours later and I was 8cm dilated and still 90%effaced. He then told them to give me the epidural so he can rupture my water. And he told me that if I didnt dilate that good he was going to put me on pitocin (thank you body!!!). Well, 25 minutes after the epidural, he ruptured my water and he said...`okay, are you ready?` I was like, `for what?` he said that I was totally effaced baby was at +2 station and I was 9cm dilated. Ladies, it was crazy. The epidural worked good for my contractions but did nothing in the va-jay-jay area. I felt all the pressure! After 30 minutes of pushing...10 of the minutes were painful...I had my baby girl!!! During the process of pushing, I kept asking the doctor was I doing number 2 on myself. She kept laughing and saying, `no, youre doing good, if you were to then that will be fine.` Afterwards, my beautiful baby was born!!! And as soon as she was taken out of the womb, they plopped her on my stomach. She was all wet in warm and all I could say is, `Awwww, that`s my baby!!!` They took her to do her APGAR test. She scored 8 for the one minute testing and a 9 for the five minute testing. While she was getting these good scores, I was getting some good stitches!....yep, she tore me. Now, on top of bleeding and no sex for six weeks, I have to tend to a stitched area!!! Grrrr....but it was all worth it!!!
